Leadership Transition OB/GYN Residency Program
After more than 20 years of exemplary service as Director of our Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program, Dr. James Anasti has recently accepted the position of Director of Student Affairs at our Temple University / St. Luke’s School of Medicine. Dr. Anasti will continue to play an important role in the educational and research endeavors of our residency program. We know he will excel at his new role and feel very fortunate to continue to have him as a key participant in our departmental activities.
I am happy to announce that Dr. Elizabeth Dierking has accepted to serve as the Interim Program Director of our St. Luke’s Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program.
Dr. Dierking graduated from La Salle University with a BA in Biology in 2001. She then attended the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine where she was awarded AOA and graduated with an MD in 2005. She did her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York University and Bellevue Hospital in New York City. She came to St. Luke’s in 2012 and had served as the Associate Residency Program Director prior to assuming her current role. Dr. Dierking is a talented clinician who will continue to see obstetric and gynecologic patients through St. Luke’s Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates. Beth lives in the Lehigh Valley with her husband who is a native of the Valley and their two daughters.
Please join me in congratulating Drs. Dierking and Anasti in their new roles.
