St. Luke’s University Health Network is pleased to announce the March 11th opening of the Center for Diabetes & Endocrinology–Phillipsburg. The center’s physicians and staff will also see patients at St. Luke’s Warren Campus.

“Diabetes is one of the most serious health issues facing our community and its prevalence is increasing rapidly,” said Bankim Bhatt, MD, Chief of Endocrinology, St. Luke’s University Health Network. “The new center will offer medical services, as well as individual, group and community diabetes education.” It will be located at the Hillcrest Plaza, just off Route 22 and a half mile from the St. Luke’s Warren Campus.

St. Luke’s Center for Diabetes & Endocrinology will be led by endocrinologist Ishita Singh, MD. Dr. Bhatt and endocrinologist Sara Choudhry, MD, will also see patients in Phillipsburg, as well as the St. Luke’s Warren Campus. In addition, certified diabetes educator Kathleen Decker, RD, LDN, CDE, will provide individual and group education.

Dr. Singh comes to St. Luke’s from Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group, PC, in Virginia. Previously, she completed a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and hypertension at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare Systems. She completed her residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital/Washington Hospital in Washington, DC.
