“Talk With Your Doctor” TV Show Featuring St. Luke’s Physicians Wins AP Award
Pennsylvania Associated Press Media Editors has awarded its first-place recognition for best regularly scheduled news or sports talk program to “Talk With Your Doctor” featuring St. Luke’s University Health Network providers.
The award was announced at PAPME’s annual awards banquet at the Hilton Hotel in Harrisburg on Friday.
The Nielsen-rated “Talk With Your Doctor,” which airs at 6:30 pm on Monday evenings on Channel 69 (WFMZ-TV), features St. Luke’s physicians, advanced practitioners and other providers discussing the latest medical advancements and advice for healthy living.
A joint project of St. Luke’s University Health Network and WFMZ-TV, “Talk With Your Doctor” is in its 21st season.
“I am delighted that our show has received this recent recognition and grateful to our St. Luke’s health care providers for their willingness to share their expertise with the community,” said Karen Boksan, the show’s executive producer and a marketing director at St. Luke’s.
Show topics during the 2018 season included the opiod crisis, breast cancer, epilepsy, animal-borne illnesses and atrial fibrillation.
Co-hosted by Doug Eberhart and St. Luke’s physician chiefs, “Talk With Your Doctor” has also been recognized by the Communicator Awards, the Aster Awards, the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania, the Health Information Awards and the International Association of Business Communicators.
